About toni

Toni was born and bred in Ayrshire and has become one of Scotland's leading female distance runners. She has represented Scotland on several occasions on the road and cross country and in 2009 she became the first athlete ever to win National Titles at Marathon, half marathon and 10K distances in the same year.

Toni has had to overcome a series of injuries in order to maintain her status as a top runner. She has a thorough understanding of a number of sports injuries, having suffered from most of them herself, and extensively studied the workings of the body in order to understand the mechanisms behind the injuries and how best to rehabilitate them.

Toni is keen to use her expertise and experience to help aid the recovery of her fellow sportsmen and women, and indeed anyone who is active in their everyday life. Toni is a great believer in pre-habilitation – that is a proactive, preventative approach which aims to identify muscular imbalances and work on eliminating these before they manifest themselves as injuries.
