Toni McIntosh is one of Scotland’s leading distance runners as well as a fully qualified sports massage therapist. Toni trained at the London School of Sports Massage under pioneer in the field, Mel Cash. Since graduating Toni has been on a constant quest to expand her knowledge and has completed courses in myofascial release techniques as well as the innovative kinesio taping method which is becoming increasingly popular with athletes today.

As an elite athlete herself, massage forms an integral part of Toni’s training schedule. However, she is passionate about the fact that massage has many benefits for everyone. Incorporating massage into your fitness programme helps you to recover more quickly from training sessions, allowing you to maintain a higher intensity of training, as well as identifying any muscular weaknesses or imbalances before they manifest themselves as injuries.

Not only sports people can benefit from massage therapy. Whether you have a long standing injury, suffer from work related stress, or simply wish to maintain good health, massage can give you the means to remain active and pain free.
